Before You Register

At the YMCA we are committed to making the registration process as convenient as possible. In order to make your experience a positive one, please consider the following prior to registration:

	Have you taken the time to select camps with your child that matches their interests with your needs?
	Will your camper be the correct age for the camps you have selected prior to the start date?
	Will your child require Program Support? The YMCA of Niagara strives to provide an integrated camp experience for children and youth who require additional support in camp. A limited number of spaces and weeks are available for children who require a helping hand in a smaller ratio to have a successful camp experience. To find out if your son/daughter qualifies for this camp program please contact the day camp office in April or May at 905-934-9755 ext 280, prior to registration. Selection of camps will be done through the camp office.
	Will you want to purchase a camper t-shirt? Camper t-shirts are sold at all YMCA of Niagara branches. T-shirts are $10 each and available in kids and youth sizes. Please refer to the back cover of the brochure for more information.
	Will You Require Financial Assistance? YMCA Financial Assistance Through the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, we can assist up to two weeks of YMCA Day Camp fees per camper. Financial assistance is limited in order to offer opportunities to a larger number of children. If your financial circumstances are limiting your child.s access to Day Camp, please contact your local YMCA Membership Branch to arrange a Day Camp Assistance appointment. All inquiries are confidential. Niagara Region Financial Assistance Subsidy is available to families who qualify through the Niagara Region. Please contact your Subsidy Eligibility Caseworker at 905-984-3750 to confirm eligibility. A Niagara Region Subsidized Camp Approval form is required prior to registering with the YMCA for camp.
	How would you like to Arrange for Payment? Method of Payment Payment can be made by interac, cheque, cash, Visa or Mastercard. At the time of registration, a minimum deposit of $25 per week/camp is required. You are encouraged to pay your fees in full at this time. Balance of fees may be spread out through preauthorized payments until two weeks prior to camp or by July 31, 2010. Registrations received within two weeks of the camp start date or after July 31, 2010 must be paid in full at the time of registration. Camp fees are tax deductible. A final statement will be issued to each family by the end of February 2011 for income tax purposes. Refund/Cancellation Policy All deposits are non-refundable. Request for refunds made up to two weeks prior to camp will be issued, less the deposit. A cheque will be mailed within 14 business days. Refund requests can be made in person or by emailing ymcadaycamp@ymcaofniagara.ca Camp fees are non-refundable within two weeks of camp. Exceptions will be made for medical reasons (with proper documentation). Refunds will not be given if the camper is sent home for misconduct.
	What is Your Preferred Method of Registration? You may register online at www.ymcadaycamp.ca or in person at any YMCA of Niagara membership branch. If you are registering in person, please complete the Registration Form in advance. Registrations will be accepted until the camp is full or 24 hours before the camp is scheduled to begin. On-Line Camp Registration in "Real-Time"

The YMCA is proud to offer on-line registration in "real time". The registration system will allow you to view camps as they fill, so you can be sure that you won't miss out on the camps your kids really want. Better still; once you register on our secure system, you will receive instant notification via email including a receipt and a confirmation letter. This system is both safe, and convenient, and it's something we feel will greatly enhance your camp experience.
